Students work one-on-one with a state-certified driving instructor. Students can choose the number of lessons they wish to take, choose when they take these lessons from our flexible appointment schedule, and pay as they schedule these lessons. Each lesson lasts exactly one hour.
Students need to have a valid Connecticut adult learner’s permit (ALP). For information on obtaining an ALP, please click here to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles’ ALP information page.
If you have already taken the adult 8-hour course at Airway Driving School and you had a valid adult learner’s permit at the time you took the course, please call us to schedule an appointment.
If you have not taken the adult 8-hour course yet, took the course at another driving school, or did not have a valid ALP at the time you took the course, you must come into the Shelton office to schedule an appointment. If you took the course at another driving school, please bring your CS-1 certificate with you when scheduling. Once you are registered with Airway Driving School, future appointments can be scheduled and paid for over the phone.
